With emotion and passion, the aim of this publishing project is to promote cultural exchange across the world, and, more particularly, to take the “reader” on a journey into Vietnam via art and culture. The author insists on the importance of staying true to the spirit and cultural identity of this magical land. Underlying the entire project, the author questions the nature of time, existence and death.

The project is conceived out of a concern for authenticity and integrity, together with an intense commitment to innovation and quality. The patented concept for the Zixbook thus came into being, based on a fusion of text and sound via the intermediary of the image.

A multilingual DVD containing pictures and a sound track accompanies each of the three trilingual versions planned: Zixnov, the novel, Zixtoon, the comic strip and Zixphot, the photo book. The music, specially composed for the project, adds another layer to further enrich the interplay between text and image.

Unlike a fully-digitalized e-book, the multimedia Zixbook preserves the vital relationship with a real, hardcopy book, to which the soundtrack and digital images add another dimension.
